Angus Council’s offices at County Buildings in Forfar have been closed and staff are being relocated while work to rectify the electrical problems on site continues.
A council spokesperson said: “Due to continuing electrical problems at County Buildings the council has decided that in the interests of health and safety of staff and customers and the interruption to services, the building should be closed.
“Staff are being relocated to other offices but there will be some disruption to services as this is underway. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but ask customers to bear with us during this time.”
The services affected are planning, roads, economic development and environmental & consumer protection. Any telephone calls for these services should be directed to the council’s ACCESSLine 08452 777 778.
