Angus Archives invites you to ‘An Evening in the Archive’ on Friday, April 5 between 5.30 and 8 p.m.
If you have ever wondered what an archive does or what resources the archivists look after, go along and find out!
Archival documents contain great stories and you can explore a few such as the Duff children from Forfar accused of fire raising before being sent to the Poorhouse, and Margaret Forrest Mill’s journal of a holiday at home in 1914.
There will be a range of the archive’s treasures on view and a big selection of local photographs.
In addition there will be photographic slideshows and the opportunity to watch some old movie clips from around Angus.
The event is free and refreshments will be available.
