THE next David Bailey could hail from Scotland!
Super snapper Brandon Warden, aged six, from Kirriemuir, has been chosen from hundreds of entrants to be crowned Top Tot Photographer of the Year in a national competition organised by Fisher-Price and Toys R Us.
Brandon's winning photo, 'Meerkats', taken on a summer trip to Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park, was chosen from hundreds of entries by a panel of expert judges.
Little Brandon, a budding professional, has continuously shown his talent since borrowing his mum's camera two years ago, when he was just four years old.
As part of his prize, Brandon has scooped tons of toys as well as a £1000 cash prize. He's also set to see his work recreated as a giant poster for thousands to admire.
Jon Adams, competition judge and editor of Britain's most popular photography magazine Digital Photo, explains: "Kids aren't tainted by the 'rules' of photography like adults, and this means they often shoot pictures that are truly refreshing and bursting with energy.
"Brandon's photo stood out above the others because he has really captured the moment. His meerkats are all looking intently at something off-camera, and this gives a great candid air to the line-up of suspects!"
The competition, which called for creative camerawork from tots up and down the country, was held to celebrate the launch of the new Fisher-Price Kid Tough Digital Camera.
Organisers say it has uncovered some of Britain's youngest talent, seeing impressive entries from children as young as three years old that would rival those of any adult expert.
