Members of Forfar Rotary Club and friends took to the saddle recently as part of the organisation’s Father’s Day National Cycle event.
In aid of Prostate Cancer, the Forfar members’ task was to pedal from the Stag Hotal in Castle Street, where the club meets weekly, to Arbroath Rotary Club.
All Rotary Clubs tried to undertake to cycle to another club and to complete a cycle of events throughout the UK. Currently prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and Ireland and it currently affects 250,000 men every year as well as their families.
Forfar Rotary members have extended their thanks for the sponsorship received individually and collectively and, once all sponsorship money has been collected, it is hoped that their combined total will be in excess of £800.
