Details of the proposed new community hospital at Whitehills, Forfar, were due to be revealed at a public meeting. Board members of the Angus NHS Trust would be discussing plans for the £5.5 million community hospital which was expected to be completed in 1996.
The square in Kirriemuir enchanted young and old as they gathered in the September sunshine to listen to the music that was the Kirriemuir Festival. The three-day event, organised by the Angus branch of the Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland, was in its 12th year.
