Forfar Rotary Chairman Tim Hale presented a cheque to Victim Support Scotland to assist in providing this rewarding and neccessary support work.
Alan Davie from Victim Support Angus stressed the important role they undertake where victims are often the forgotten part of crime.
Victim Support Scotland is the lead voluntary organisation in Scotland helping people affected by crime. It provides emotional support, practical help and essential information to victims, witnesses and others affected by crime.
The service is free, confidential and is provided by volunteers through a network of community based victim and youth justice services and court based witness services.
Alan Davie on behalf of the organisation thanked Forfar Rotary for the generous cheque for £870 and stressed the need for public awareness to highlight the need in providing such a service.
