Veterinary exploits at Forfar Probus

On Tuesday, March 4, some 50 members were introduced by Forfar Probus Club president Jim Ewing to Mike Robson from Laurencekirk who gave a talk titled ‘The Old Vet’.

Mike Robson is a member of various clubs in Laurencekirk and proceeded to give an account of his childhood and schooling leading up to becoming a third generation vet.

He followed in his grandfather’s and his father’s footsteps in this caring and demanding profession.

Mike kept the members engrossed with his tales of veterinary exploits in and around the North East of Scotland and beyond, all of this interspersed with humorous incidents recalled with couthy turns of phrase expressed in the local dialect.

After his talk, a short but interesting question and answer session followed.

The vote of thanks was given by club member Ernie Carnegie.
