Girlguiding Angus held its annual meeting in Letham Village Hall last Monday night.

County Commissioner Carol Edwards shared with the packed audience the many activities which had taken place throughout the year.

Taking the stage this year were local leaders and girls, including a Kingsmuir Young Leader and Letham Brownies who entertained the audience with dancing - Scottish Country Dancing and Hip Hop.

The local Rainbows, Brownies and Guides then led the audience in singing.

A number of girls shared memories of their international trips to Sweden and Belgium while a Carnoustie Guider told everyone about her experiences on a trip to Hong Kong.

Young Guiders then spoke of the effect and inspiration Girlguiding had on their lives particularly since attending a Scottish Girlguiding Conference when they realised the opportunities available to them.

Girlguiding continues to be relevant and popular in Angus and the last year has again seen an increase in the number of girls attending Rainbows, Brownies and Guides and also in the number of units in the County.
