The Black Watch Castle & Museum will continue its programme of family events this Summer with Balhousie’s Nature on Saturday, August 13.
At this fun family event, visitors will be able to do bark rubbings, create window art and contribute to a mural.
This family event is inspired by the beautiful grounds at Balhousie Castle and will give families the chance to explore both grounds and castle.
Museum manager, Emma Halford-Forbes, said: “These fun new events are perfect for children to learn new skills and a bit about their local area while enjoying themselves with their families.”
Following the success of recent events including a re-enactment group who performed in the Castle grounds to a large audience The Black Watch Castle & Museum look forward to welcoming an increasing number of families into the museum.
The event starts at 10.30am to 12noon and children will have the chance to learn how to take bark rubbings, create nature scenes for window decoration and take part in creating a giant tree mural. As places are limited for each event, booking is essential.
Adults go free (one per child) and children pay £2.50. Children must be accompanied by an adult and there will be free admission to the museum for everyone attending events.
