Outdoor theatre in Angus

Shakespeare’s classic ‘Taming of the Shrew’ comes to the National Trust for Scotland’s House of Dun on August 5.

The Festival Players Theatre Company will embark on their 26th touring Shakespeare production with this ‘fun-packed, energetic and brilliantly inventive’ production centred on Shakespeare’s feisty female creation Katharina, who will be played by a man in this production.

The fun production will come to life in the beautiful grounds of the A listed Georgian House, set in beautiful grounds and boasting one of Angus’s finest walled gardens. The dramatic setting will add to the high drama of one of Shakespeare’s most popular pieces.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £4 for children and can be booked online at www.nts.org/events, however subject to capacity tickets may still be available on the night of the production.

Audience members should dress for the weather and bring something to sit on as well as a picnic.
