Angus Council museums service has just taken delivery of a collection of costumes, courtesy of Forfar Dramatic Society.
The dramatic society has been clearing out its wardrobes in East High Street to enable building work and re-decoration to go ahead.
These outfits, donated by patrons of the society for use in plays over the years, are now surplus to requirements and staff of the Meffan Museum in Forfar were only too delighted to take possession of beautiful Victorian, Edwardian and 1920’s costumes to restore and display in their collection in West High Street.
It is hoped that a selection of the costumes will go on show in the near future. Forfar Dramatic Society members are currently busy rehearsing for Black Comedy, a sixties farce opening on November 16 at Lochside Leisure Centre.
