Gardeners’ question time

Spring has sprung and many gardeners will be hoping this is the start of a productive gardening year after all the problems in 2011.

Help is at hand for all gardeners with advice and topical tips at Gardeners’ Question Time on Wednesday, March 21 from 7.30 pm in Eassie and Nevay Community Hall in Balkeerie on the Glamis- Newtyle Road.

A panel of garden experts will be ready to answer questions about your plants, from annuals to perennials, trees and shrubs, to identify that unknown and rare plant or annoying pest!

The panel includes Ali Bruce of Pathhead Kirriemuir, Pippa Clegg of Kilry and Ian Christie of Westmuir.

A selection of stalls selling plants, local produce, books, gifts and garden sundries, Phoenix Cards and Guide Dogs for the Bind will be on available for green fingered retail therapy.

‘Snowdrops in the green’ will be on sale for those wishing to plan for their Spring garden in 2013!

The hall will be open from 6.30 pm for early bird shoppers with no admission charge for shopping only.

This event was requested after the successful Gardeners Question time last autumn.

It is hoped these bi-annual evenings will form part of the ENKCA events calendar.
