CORTACHY Castle Gardens will be opening its doors as part of the Scotland’s Gardens event this weekend.
The 16th century castellated house has additions by David Bryce that were built in 1872 and is always well worth a visit.
For the Scotland’s Gardens event you can see the spring garden and wild pond garden with a mass of azaleas, primroses and rhododendrons. There are also fine American species trees and the chance to walk along the River South Esk.
Home-made teas will be available and a pipe-band will provide entertainment for the afternoon.
The Gardens will be open on Sunday, May 27 from 2pm to 6pm.
