A MAGIC adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale, The Snow Queen, is currently running at Dundee Rep Theatre.

Gerda and Kai are best friends, they do everything together but when a splinter of glass from the Snow Queen’s evil mirror enters Kai’s eye and heart, his soul seems lost forever. Kai becomes intoxicated by her enchanting powers and follows her to her icy palace.

Poor Gerda is lost without him and, fearing that he has disappeared forever, sets out on an epic journey to save her best friend. Who will she meet along the way?

Join Gerda as she travels through snow filled forests, ice cold rivers and freezing winds to save her best friend Kai from the grips of the evil Snow Queen.

Mike Kenny is one of the UK’s leading playwrights specialising in young people’s theatre. He has adapted many children’s stories including the award winning The Railway Children (Waterloo train Station) and The Little Mermaid, which was performed at the Rep a few years ago.

Join the cast for an enchanting tale of adventure, friendship and discovery for the whole family.

The show runs until Saturday, January 5. For ticket details contact the box office on 01382 223530 or www.dundeerep.co.uk
