EDDIE ROSE SET TO ENTERTAIN AT MONIKIE BURNS SUPPER
THE annual Burns Supper Social with Eddie Rose will take place in the Monikie Memorial Hall, Monikie this Saturday (January 30).
This popular event provides a great night of Scottish entertainment with an evening of fun and laughter along with Scottish music and dancing.
Heading the entertainment is well known singer and comedian Eddie Rose from Pitlochry.
Eddie is well known and his popularity has increased over the years. His continuing success proves there is still a strong demand for his distinctive style of Scots comedy and music.
Eddie will be the compere for the evening and he will also be dressing up as some of his well known characters.
Over the past few years folk attending this Burns Supper Social have continued to say they hadn't laughed so much in years.
The young members of the popular Rosely Ceilidh Band - Lisa Laird, Alan Smeaton and Alisha Smeaton - will be providing their excellent standard of Scottish music for dancing; Timothy and Rowanne Ness will be providing a display of Highland dancing with Timothy playing the pipes.
Bob Craib will be addressing the haggis and Hugh Myles will be sharing a few stories and bothy ballads.
The supper consists of haggis, neeps and tatties, bannocks and cheese and Scottish shortbread and tablet.
Tickets are 12 and the evening starts at 7.30 pm prompt (the hall is open from 6.45 pm.)
