BUSY LINE UP FOR LOCAL BAND EMERALD SUNDAY

FOLLOWING on from a busy 2009, Kirriemuir-based band Emerald Sunday is keeping up the pace with a busy gig schedule whilst working hard on second album 'Forbidden Sun'.

Although the release of this album has been delayed until early next year, 2010 is proving to be as busy as ever. The Messenger EP, which was recorded at the Byre Studios near Inverness late last year, has just been released and is getting rave reviews.

The band has a busy schedule on the local gig circuit as well as Oxfam's Oxjam event in Aberdeen later in the year.

The next big gig is alongside Dundee-based bands The Law and Lord Luken at Sharkys Bar, George Street, Montrose on Saturday, July 31. Tickets, priced 10, are selling fast and are available from Sharkys, Groucho's Record Store in Dundee or by contacting Emerald Sunday direct at emeraldsunday@hotmail.com.
