THE annual competitive exhibition of work and flowering bulbs of the Angus Federation SWRI takes place this weekend.
It is to be staged in the Reid Hall, Forfar , on Friday and Saturday.
On show will be over 1000 items created by members throughout Angus.
They include, on the housewives side, such things as pear and ginger chutney, cinnamon biscuits and celebration cakes and, on the craft side, articles of patchwork, beadwork, knitting and photography. The art section has the theme ‘spring’, and the Co-operative theme is ‘cushions & cakes”
As always, there will be refreshments served with fresh home-baking and also items of home-baking on sale.
The show will open to the public on Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm and on Saturday from 10 am to 4.30 pm. Trophies and prizes will be presented between 4 pm and 4.30 pm on Saturday.
