Sir,
What a fantastic night we had at the circus last week as, judging by their faces, did the hundreds of children, teenagers, parents and grandparents who were entertained by jugglers, clowns, trapeze artists through to the beautiful horses.
As for the animal cruelty, just one look at these striking horses told you these animals were very well looked after and cared for.
We have more animal cruelty on our doorsteps which we should be more concerned about, not animals that are obviously well vetted and monitored.
If everyone was of the opinion of the other two people who wrote in last week we would not be able to appreciate the fantastic and thrilling performances these acts provide.
We should be grateful that the circus still comes to Forfar and what it brings to the town itself - long may it last.
