TICKETS are now on sale for J.M Barrie's 'A Kiss for Cinderella', a Firefly Angus Youth Theatre production which runs at The Webster Memorial Theatre, Arbroath on Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19 at 7.30 pm.
'A Kiss for Cinderella' is a comedy about a poor domestic servant called Jane who secretly cares for four tiny orphans during WWI.

Jane lives in her own fantasy world and believes she is Cinderella and that one day she will meet her prince.

The play was written by J. M. Barrie and Firefly has teamed up with Angus Council to celebrate his 150th anniversary with the production.

Director Amy Hall says: "This has been a great opportunity for young people, not only to perform but also to learn a bit about their local heritage.

"The cast are very excited about the production and can't wait to perform at The Webster Theatre.'

James Matthew Barrie was born in Kirriemuir in 1860 and is best known for creating the character Peter Pan.

Following University Barrie wrote articles for several newspapers and began writing novels such as Auld Licht Idylls and A Window in Thrums and plays such as Mary Rose and The Boy David. He died of pneumonia on June 19, 1937 and is buried in Kirriemuir, next to his parents, sister and brother David.

Tickets for 'A Kiss for Cinderella' are £8 adult, £3 concession and £17 family ticket. Special prices are available for schools - contact the Webster box office for more details.
