SCENE SET FOR CORTACHY HIGHLAND GAMES

THE Cortachy Highland Games and Flower Show is being held this year on Sunday, August 17, beginning at 1 pm.
This traditional Angus event has been held in the beautiful grounds of Cortachy Castle for more than a century.

It offers an afternoon of family entertainment, including traditional heavy events, field events, dog show, dog race, duck race, piping and highland dancing competitions, children's races, children's fancy dress competition, flower and vegetable show, six a side novice male and female tug of war competition, photographic competition, a variety of stalls and refreshments including a bar.

Entries are sought from would be participants in the games and competitions or flower/ fruit/ vegetable sections.

Particularly welcome would be entrants in the novice tug of war competition.

Admission is £3 for adults and £1.50 OAP's and children, payable at the entrance.
