POLICE in Angus are appealing for information after a skip containing about £600 worth of scrap metal was stolen from Stannochy Quarry, Forfar Road, by Brechin.
The theft of the eight-cubic yard blue and white-coloured Geddes skip happened sometime between 5 pm on Thursday and 6 am on Friday.

Thieves broke into the sand quarry, which lies about two miles north west of Brechin on the B9134 Brechin to Aberlemno road, to take the skip, which contained about five and a half tonnes of scrap metal.

Tayside Police would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who has information useful to enquiries to contact them on 0845 600 5705, or speak to any officer.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
