POLICE in Forfar are appealing for information after a large number of copper hot water tanks were stolen from soon-to-be demolished council flats in Newmonthill.
The tanks and copper piping were stolen sometime between midday last Saturday (May 10) and 6pm on Sunday (May 11).

Two men were seen acting suspiciously at the block of flats sometime between 5pm and 6pm on the Sunday (May 11).

Both were in their 20s and wore t-shirts and jeans. One was slim with carrot-coloured hair, whilst the other was dark-haired and slightly taller than his companion.

Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries should contact Tayside Police on 0845 600 5705, or speak to any officer.
