AN appeal has gone out to former Guides and Guiders in Forfar who may be able to shed some light on the history of guiding in the town.
Next year marks the centenary of Girl Guiding UK, and to mark the event Forfar Guides will hold a display in the Meffan from February 12 to 22.

Local brownies and guides will be busy in the next few weeks looking out photographs marking the history of the movement over the years, but an appeal has gone out to former guides and guiders who may remember tales of how the Forfar Guide movement was set up.

The display will also include the history of guiding in Kingsmuir, Lour, Lunanhead and Letham, so again if you were involved in any way and can help relay some stories of guiding in days gone by, then please get in touch.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Lesley Bell on Forfar 466143 or Karen Kelly on 465043.
