THE LATEST Forfar Roof Truss Company £250 sponsorship cheque donation has come at the perfect time for the Forfar Four Seasons Out of School Club, which is about to re-locate to Langlands Primary School.

The club was originally set up by the WRVS in 1992, providing an out of school club and holiday childcare for children. In October 2000 the club became parent/carer led and in 2010 set up a breakfast club at Langlands.

Chairman Kathleen Fotheringham said: “We have successfully operated for over 20 years at Forfar Academy; we have places for 40 children aged four to 12 years daily, from all three local schools.

“After a recent review several areas for improvement and sustainability were identified. We cannot continue to operate from our current site, due to rising transport costs and other groups using the community wing; their presence is having a negative effect on our children’s freedom to play.

“We need a more central location, ensuring accessibility to more families in our local community. Our toys and equipment are showing wear and tear and the £250 donation would go a long way in assisting us to replace some of the old toys and equipment.”
