10th annual conference approaches

The AGRICULTURAL industry is preparing to come together for the 10th annual Farming Scotland Conference.

The conference, which will take place in Carnoustie, tomorrow (February 7), attracts farmers and those interested in land and rural sector from across the country as it offers a unique opportunity to network and discuss the challenges currently facing the industry.

The 2013 event will hear from George Lyon, MEP for Scotland, as well as chair of Potato Council, Allan Stevenson, and Jim McLaren, chair of Quality Meat Scotland and BBC Young Farmer of the Year 2012 finalist, Tom Rawson.

All speakers will entertain delegates with their views and opinions around the conference theme of ‘Weathering the Storm’.

The conference is being sponsored by Thorntons Law Firm, EQ Accountants, Bell Ingram and Royal Bank of Scotland.

The Farming Scotland Conference will take place in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa, starting at 9 a.m.
