In the six months that the Tayside Amateur Athletics Club has been available at Webster’s Sports Centre there has been a regular group of children attending the Thursday night sessions.

The majority of youngsters attending are pupils who attend Webster’s High.

AFTER a 5-0 trouncing in the McNab Cup by first division opponents, the Vic Bar, it was back to league business for the Friockheim team.

Playing against the second top of the table, the Portcullis Kirkton and they were threatened for the first 20 minutes and duly took the lead.

Robertson quickly took the ball from a Simpson knock down and sent a long pass to Poole who outstripped the defence to score.

Lawson made it to two shortly afterwards when he burst through the defence to shoot low past the keeper.

In the second half, Kirkton missed a very easy chance to add to their tally when Fairweather shot past the post.

In the later stages of the game Portcullis put the Friockheim defence under a lot of pressure and eventually pulled a goal back.
