WHEN the Athletic travel to Stranraer on Saturday they may be without their latest signing Jim Kyles, who is wanted by his junior club North End for the league cup game with Kirriemuir Thistle.
Manager Alan Kennedy said that, because Kyles was only signed on a provisional form, the Athletic must honour all of North End’s demands.
Nevertheless, he would be putting in some hard bargaining to enable Kyles to join the Stranraer party.
Apart from Kyles, there are no other ‘doubtfuls’ for Saturday’s game, which should be a tough contest.
Stranraer will be no push-over at the weekend, despite their relatively low position in the league.

THE STRATHMORE team produced probably one of their worst performances of the season in a friendly at Inchmacoble last Saturday.
Lacking slightly in effort, the team found themselves trailing by a total of 10 points at the interval and then in the second period the team just could not dig deep enough into the reserves of strength to pull them back into the game.
In a bid to get a victory under their belts, Strathmore are set to face Wade Academy in a friendly at Inchmacoble on Wednesday.
Then, this coming Saturday, the team are set to travel to Stonehaven for yet another friendly with the opposition being Mackie Academy.
