VILLAGE CAN DO A LOT BETTER
Sir, The Letham Victorian Market will be held, as usual, on the first Sunday in July.
The market as hailed by Angus Council as a great tourist attraction.
But the local authoirty does little to enhance the cleanliness of the Square for this event.
Stoor and weeds adorn the gulleys, while litter, fag ends and stoor decorate the pavements.
A very occasional dicht with a council brush throughout the year fails to keep the place tidy.
Tourists are enthusiastically invited to investigate the delights of the market and the village and, when they get here, are insulted with a shabbily presented Square.
We can surely do much better.
